Privacy Policy

This is a practical template for the Devsgrid website. Have it reviewed by qualified counsel before you rely on it, and replace any configuration placeholders with the real business details.
Who this policy covers
This policy explains how the operator of this website (registered legal name not yet published in the site configuration) handles personal information collected through https://devsgrid.com. It applies to the public website and the inquiry form. It is not a description of a future product account system, because this site does not create user accounts.
Information you submit
If you send the inquiry form, we collect the details you choose to provide:
- Full name
- Work email
- Phone or WhatsApp number
- Company name, if you include one
- Requirement type
- Technologies, timeline, and budget range, if you include them
- Your description of the project or hiring need
Information collected automatically
Submitting the form also sends a small amount of technical context to the business inbox so the message can be understood and obvious spam can be spotted: the date and time, the page the form was sent from, your IP address, and the browser user agent.
To limit repeated submissions, the server stores a hash of the network address and recent timestamps for a short window. That file does not contain your message. The default window is one hour.
Pages that include the inquiry form set a first-party session cookie named devsgrid_session. It is used to protect the form from forged submissions. See the Cookie Policy.
Why the information is used
The information is used to read your inquiry, reply to you, prepare an estimate or a suggested engagement, and keep a record of that conversation. It is also used to protect the form from abuse. It is not used to build an advertising profile, and this website does not sell personal information.
Email delivery
Inquiries are sent by authenticated email using the SMTP service configured by the site operator. The PHPMailer library prepares the message. The operator's mail provider processes the message in order to deliver it to the configured recipient, and, when enabled, a short acknowledgement to the address you entered.
If email delivery fails, a copy of the inquiry may be stored on the server in a directory that is not meant to be public, so the message is not lost. That copy should be deleted after it has been handled.
How long information is kept
Inquiry emails stay in the business mailbox for as long as needed to respond, keep a record of the conversation, and meet any legal duties that apply. This policy does not invent a fixed number of months, because that period depends on the operator's practice and the mailbox provider. Rate-limit records are kept only for the active window. Server error logs may include the time of a failure and a technical error string. They are not a marketing list.
Who else receives it
The inquiry is received by the business addresses configured for this site (public contact: hello@devsgrid.com). The SMTP provider sees the message because it delivers the email. We do not pass form data to an advertising network. This site does not enable analytics or advertising tags by default.
Security
The form is checked on the server, protected with a session token, and limited against repeated posts. Email credentials are kept in server configuration, not in page scripts sent to the browser. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Hosting location
The website is hosted on infrastructure chosen by the site operator. A country or region is not stated here until it is added to the site configuration.
Children
This website is a business site. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices
You may ask what inquiry information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete a conversation, subject to any record we are required to keep. Write to hello@devsgrid.com. You can also stop using the form. Closing your browser removes the session cookie from that browser.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you are looking at the current version of this page.
